Family Support for Substance Use
Our team of peer recovery specialists specialize in working with parents who are impacted by opioid addiction, mental health and/or substance use challenges. Our team understands first hand what it is like to overcome these challenges and work towards recovery and wellness while taking care of our children too.
We have experience with DCYF child welfare involvement, incarceration, homelessness, and we can help you with communicating with social workers. We will connect parents with formal treatment and/or pathways to recovery, and community resources to meet your needs.
No judgement, just compassion. Call 401-467-6855.
Are you pregnant? We have a special project, Healing Mother and Baby, where our peer recovery specialists work with pregnant women who are struggling with opioids and other substances to provide emotional peer support and assist with recovery from substances, getting on medication assisted treatment, if needed, to reduce peri-natal substance exposure. We support pregnant women in getting connected to an OB-GYN, and other services and support to help prepare for becoming a parent. We support women through the birthing process and getting referred and connected to early childhood services and support, especially in the first year. We accept self referrals and formal referrals.
