Birth Parent Support Group (for Parents Navigating Child Welfare Challenges)

  • Parent Support Network of RI 333 Centerville Road Warwick, RI, 02886 United States (map)

You Don't Have to Navigate This Journey Alone

If you have lived experience as a birth parent navigating DCYF involvement or other child welfare challenges, you are invited to join this free, peer-led support group.

This is a welcoming space to connect with other parents who understand your experiences, share support and encouragement, explore resources, and build community. Whether your case is open, reunified, closed, or ongoing, you are welcome.

Your voice, experiences, and ideas matter. Together, we can support one another and help improve systems for children and families.

What to Expect

  • Peer support from parents with lived experience

  • A respectful, judgment-free environment

  • Connection, encouragement, and shared experiences

  • Information about resources and advocacy opportunities

Following the support group, those interested are welcome to stay for the Birth Parent Advisory Board meeting to learn more about leadership and advocacy opportunities.
