April declared "National Child Abuse Prevention Month" in the state of Rhode Island

Prevent Child Abuse RI Chapter Director Lamel Moore and RI House Minority Leader Michael Chippendale at House of Reps

During the evening's House session on Thursday, April 4th, 2024, Minority Leader Michael Chippendale had a special guest: Lamel Moore, the Director of the Rhode Island Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, to recognize National Prevent Child Abuse Month.

Leader Chippendale shared with his colleagues that Lamel and Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island work to raise awareness of the issue of child abuse in all forms, and also work with municipalities to help develop tools to identify abuse and which steps to take afterwards. He noted that Lamel has made an impact on the lives of countless children and thanked him for his efforts.
