Cherish the Child: Coming Together for Child Abuse Prevention

Every child deserves to grow up safe, supported, and surrounded by caring adults. Prevention starts with strengthening families, building connections, and making sure parents and caregivers have the support they need.

This August, Parent Support Network of Rhode Island is bringing our community together for the Cherish the Child Country Gala, an evening dedicated to supporting child abuse prevention and stronger families.

Why Prevention Matters

As Rhode Island's chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, Parent Support Network works to strengthen families, build protective factors, and create safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive.

Child abuse prevention is about more than responding when families are in crisis. It means helping families access support, build connections, and develop the resources and relationships that help children and caregivers flourish.

When communities come together to support families, we create stronger foundations for children—and a safer, healthier future for everyone.

Help Us Cherish Every Child

The Cherish the Child Country Gala is an opportunity to celebrate the importance of prevention while raising funds to continue this work.

Local businesses and community partners can also support the event through sponsorships or raffle donations. If you know a business that would like to help advance child abuse prevention, please share the opportunity or connect them with Parent Support Network.

Join us on August 28 and help us build stronger families and safer childhoods.
